Alliance between Rouillier Drilling and the SAENCAT
2 June 2016

During its Annual Conference on June 1 and 2, the Secretariat to the Cree Nation Abitibi-Temiscamingue Economic Alliance (SAENCAT) concluded a major agreement with Rouillier Drilling, a division of Groupe Rouillier. The private family business founded in 1977 contributed to the SAENCAT with a substantial charitable donation linked to social responsibility and sustainable development, knowing that the non-profit organization is uniquely suited to fairly deal with the donation.

Mario Rouillier, President, explained: “For years now, Rouillier Drilling has put its best effort to ensure economic benefits from our many projects to the First Nations communities. We endeavour to create jobs, give training and ensure a transfer of expertise.”

During the Annual Conference, Mario Rouillier and Vincent Boileau from Groupe Rouillier both participated in a panel about “partnerships and alliances in Northern Québec”, promoting the new joint venture Avataa Rouillier Drilling, which is located in Kuujjuaq, Nunavik.

The annual event organized by SAENCAT took place at Amos’ Hôtel des Eskers. Over 250 people attended the multiple conferences on the theme of “Looking Ahead Together”.
